As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will plan and manage challenging geotechnical projects in ground and rock engineering. You will take technical charge of project teams, develop innovative solutions for complex infrastructure projects and oversee projects from the investigation stage through to implementation.

• Planning, designing and supervising geotechnical solutions in soil and rock engineering for complex projects

• Planning and overseeing geotechnical investigations, as well as evaluating field and laboratory tests, monitoring data and technical analyses

• Assessing geotechnical risks and reviewing studies and planning documents

• Preparing technical reports and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards

• Conducting technical site visits and collaborating with clients, suppliers and internal project teams

• Developing innovative and cost-effective geotechnical solutions

• Providing technical and organisational leadership, coaching and support to project teams on complex engineering projects

• A degree in civil engineering with a specialisation in geotechnical engineering

• At least 15 years’ professional experience in geotechnical design, ideally in engineering or consultancy for major projects

• Experience in preparing technical and financial tenders

• Experience in the technical management of engineering teams would be an advantage

• In-depth knowledge of the geotechnical and structural design of tunnels, slopes, foundations, retaining structures, dams and underground structures

• An analytical, structured and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills

• Proficiency in Rocscience, as well as PLAXIS and/or FLAC

• Very good command of English; knowledge of Italian would be an advantage
